THE KRUGER
AN OFFICER'S CAMPAIGN CHAIR

Inspired by the British military campaign furniture of the Victorian era, this chair's design and construction has proven workhorse durability. The military demand of the era was a sturdy, tough chair that was light and packable. These meet that requirement while delivering incredible comfort in a stylish package. A regular sighting on African safari during the first half of the 20th century they are just as at home in your living room or downtown loft today. The original design was a camp lounger with a seat height of 11-12 inches. We also offer these as a standard height chair.

A MID-CENTURY MODERN SAFARI CHAIR

Since the beginning of the Danish Modern design movement in the 1920s, designers from all over Europe have taken inspiration from the British campaign officer's chair. In this spirit, we brought out the Limpopo Lounger safari chair, leveraging our campaign chairs construction elements while taking inspiration from design innovations of that era. These chairs are simply stunning with comfort to match. New this year, we are offering cushions covered in iconic Pendleton Wool fabrics to add design appeal

Whether as a handy seat or footrest around the house, a compact camp chair or an essential stool for a long day in the field, you'll find the campaign stool incredibly versatile and comfortable when and where you need it. The handsome turned legs and handstitched leather ensure a style at home in most any room.

Our founder and chief craftsman, Scott, has enjoyed a number of safaris over the past couple of decades. On each he was fortunate to be dragged all over hilly bushveld and grassland savanna by Koos (pronounced kwis) de Meyer, Professional Hunter and safari outfitter. While he insists that he held his own, this stool is named for all those times Koos had him breathing heavy and wishing for a convenient spot to catch his breath
