Sapele & Hide has a plethora of wood, hide, and leather options on hand for our custom furniture designs. However, our options are not limited. If you have a specific wood, hide pattern, or leather color in mind, there's a strong possibility we can obtain that for you.

WOODS FOR CUSTOM PROJECTS
While Zebrawood, Ribbon Sapele, and Hickory are a few of our favorite woods to use for our custom furniture designs, we can work with any species that meets the structural requirements of the design you have in mind. We love creating pieces utilizing components that hold a high emotional value. For example, utilizing wood from a tree that has been standing on your family's property for generations. At the end of the day, if the wood you have in mind is strong enough to hold you up, we should be able to use it.

We work with a number of tanneries and other vendors from across the country to ensure we have the colors and quality to meet your vision. We've developed great relationships over the years and have a few vendors that will even color-match for us. So, if you have a unique color you're aiming for, get us a sample and we'll provide it to the vendor. We'll do whatever we can to ensure we're achieving your vision.

HIDES
Between the unique hides on hand and the many vendors we work with we're sure we can find hides to meet your vision. Our past projects include black, brown, and white suede, a variety of cowhide patterns, zebra mane-on-hide, wildebeest mane-on-hide, and Tibetan shearing. If you love displaying your hunted hides, but aren't a fan of mounting heads to the wall, allow us to turn your hide into a beautiful chair everyone will enjoy.

FABRICS
We've done a number of projects featuring Pendleton blanket weight jacquards (examples pictured below). However, we're more than happy to source different fabrics for cushion options. We can also use fabric you already have on hand, given the dimensions are correct.
